They assist in shaping baozi through specific shapes and structures. Put the rolled baozi wrapper into the mold, add the filling, and then press or squeeze to make the wrapper fit the inner wall of the mold, forming a regular shape. Molds with patterns or designs can also press corresponding patterns on the surface of the baozi.
Clean the mold before use, and you can apply a thin layer of oil on the inner surface of the mold to facilitate demolding. Divide the kneaded dough into appropriate-sized pieces, roll them into thin wrappers, put them into the mold, add the filling, and press gently to make the dough fully fit the mold. Then, invert the mold on the chopping board and tap it lightly to make the baozi demold smoothly.
