The “Templar helmet” is the Great Helm/tophelm, a cavalry helmet from late 12th-century Crusades. Plate-built crown with front/back plates; narrow 9–12 mm eye slits and ventilation holes (sometimes patterned, incl. crosses). Kübelhelm vents often on the right only.
