The geoglyph shows a heron with spindly legs, extended neck, tapered body, and spear-like beak, depicting one of the Nazca culture’s most prized avian creatures. As an aquatic sustenance provider, the heron represented abundant marine resources enabling Nazcan life, commerce, and coastal advancement, reminding the Nazca to respect the ocean’s gifts and emulate its poise, hunting skill, and communal contribution.
