The hummingbird geoglyph shows a profile view with thin curved beak, extended wings for hovering, and forked tail feathers. As an agricultural society, the Nazca depended on hummingbirds as essential pollinators. By spreading pollen, hummingbirds enabled regeneration and survival. This geoglyph may have been an offering of gratitude and praise for their role in Nazca prosperity.
